Qualifying this afternoon sailed through scrutineering with only the lack of a second spring on the carb and red tape on the.positive battery terminal to employ. David.

Quick chat with team Ruston who qualified 2nd overall in their race. Trying to get #gilbertthegilbern trending on Instagram and twitter.

Don't do instagram or twitter so can't help there, but all the best for qualy - hope your weather is better than here - we have strong winds and intermittent downpours!

Just turned over my calendar to find Mike celebrating his 70th - two weeks early, of course....

Blimey 2.42 ! I only managed to get under 3mins a few times in the Anglebox after a couple of pints of Larkins
This was one of them, I did manage to hang on for a tenth place though

Good luck chaps.

Interesting to see the Gilbern and Galaxie doing almost identical (in Spa terms) times. Iain one of not many people doing double duty this year.

Good luck to James O as well, just a little further up the grid. Quite a little Tenths' cluster!

Morning all . Yes GP amazed that Gilbert and Galaxie share the same lap times. Myself , Pete and David are all much the same in times and can run that pace for the race . Looks like David will have the bad weather in his last stint along with myself in Galaxie . The car is going well and I hope my old mate is looking down and keeping a watchful eye on us .

A few minor jobs today. Pad and tyre change and bleed the brakes, then fill up and we are good to go.

He is a very quick driver, John, probably my best memory of a number of Revivals was his drive in a 250F Maserati. Fantastic.

Break a leg chaps.

First drama . Pete had puncture . All changed in record time with the help o fellow Gilbern owner Sam Binfield . Galaxie going well just stoped for driver change

Well that was fun, to add to the drama I fell foul of oil at Blanchiment when a bunch of faster cars forced me off line. Quite a spin ensued but managed to get going again. Gilbert is quite a forgiving car.
Iain currently out there with no dramas. David up next.

Great result 47th out of 80 cars, with slowest of all best lap time - shows importance of consistency & reliability - Mike would be impressed
