As far as Palou goes, good luck to him, he’s far from the worst person to ever be in a coyne. It’s a shame about hinch, but this sort of thing happens in all series when slightly underperforming, e.g. hulkenberg

Not sure. It was set up for the owner’s son, who seems to have been losing interest, and also with the hope of making money but I’m not sure the latter has been the case, in fact maybe the opposite.

That is great to see, I wonder how they chose that schedule? I get the street races and Indy for visibility. And if they were a Honda team, mid ohio would make sense. I guess Laguna being the last race makes it important, but what about Texas? I'm just curious if there are sponsor engagement reasons for that schedule or if the team chose it?

I like the changes overall. It sounds like we'll all have the info as to who has what left but only at the start of each lap. I'm sure the better engineers can figure out from telemetry when the driver is on it. But that's better than the bar constant Penske team radio updates about usage. Let the driver manage more on track

Well that fun track limits subject has reared its head in Indy as well. New timing loop to be installed at the exit of Turn 19 at COTA, it will only record cars to the inside of the corner. Laps in qualifying will require being inside the loop to keep the lap, offenses in race will require video review. Being forced wide or wheel to wheel racing does not sound like it will be penalized.

I think that is actually a really good solution to the problem. If other tracks implemented this type of thing that would really make some F1 races interesting. Not sure if any other tracks on the Indy schedule would need this type of policing.
