Rick should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Grandstands@ Melbourne

Last year we went General Admission and had a great time at Brocky's Hill, but to avoid getting up really early I was thinking about one of the cheap(er) grandstands. Clark looks pretty good, anyone got any advice - Clark/Waite Piquet? I'm taking my 15 y.o. son so unfortunately Fangio/Jones/Hospitality etc are out of the question!

Rick, I have been to the AGP at Melbourne four times, twice we had seats in the Clark stand and I highly reccommend it, not too far from amenities, easy access and a particlularly exciting bit of track, the cars approach around a long sweeper flat in sixth, then stand on the brakes and back to second for the hairpin and then up through the box and away again, you see them at every aspect of their performance, there's plenty of passing and you'll see plenty of spins and visits to the gravel trap too.

Thanks David, does it make any difference where in particular in the stand?

It's all good actually, left or right doesn't seem to matter, front gets you closer to the action, but back lets you see further in both directions, meaning the cars are in view longer and you see more, also, if you sit up the back the debris fence doesn't block your view, particularly good if you are taking photos with an ordinary camera.
