I saw Gordon in the paddock, talking to the driver of the Superspeed Anglia beside my car, but got distracted and when I looked again he'd gone.

I found the cool down lap very emotional, I always thank the marshals, but Sunday was especially poignant.
Watched your progress from South bank, you disappeared behind a very smokey Ford escort on Saturday I did wonder if you'd caught the oil slick until reappearing at Paddock! Great mix of cars and some very respectful driving from just about everyone.

For those interested in the saga the latest episode of Project Binky is now up on YouTube.

They say the next episode will be up in a week or so.

They say at the end of this latest episode that there will be an engine (presumably in situ) start up.

Engine is pretty much in situ at the end of the latest episode. Incredible attention to detail, and who knows how many trial fits and re-runs of cables and pipes were necessary to get to this stage......

Confess I haven't seen all the episodes, but as a "patreon" I now get early notice of each episode so do keep up now

I don't know if it's been mentioned before but 'Retropower' do some interesting work (including building a Mk 1 Escort for Gordon Murray) which are well documented on youtube if you have time on your hands...

You may have noticed that my Arch-Enemy has been somewhat quieter on here than usual, and as we all know, quiet is not his usual style!
The poor chap is still enduring his Personal Plumbing Problems and has been given medication which seems to be making making things worse by sapping even more of his energy.
He has a hospital appointment arranged but due to current circumstances this is unfortunately not for about another 6 weeks!
He does seem to be in good spirits all things considered but is understandably frustrated by not currently having the energy to do the things he wants to do...

Hurry back Bob, this forum is missing you're not insubstantial provocative and down right insulting remarks. I was beginning to think the absence was due to a continued hysterical laughing fit having read some of my puzzle answers.

Up-date;

With regard to plumbing arrangements, as my condition is not considered life threatening, I went to the back of the queue, so I am stuck with the gadgets for the foreseeable future, which I understand knowing the pressure the NHS is under. I shall just have to adjust my life style to suit things.
I was put on a drug called Tamsulosin, which is supposed to relax the muscles in the appropriate area, however, since then my physical health declined, slowly at first then rapidly. I always regularly exercise each day to keep fit, but started to find them harder and harder, and eventually stopped altogether, every day I grew weaker and weaker. I would get up in the morning and feel fine, do some chores get breakfast, taking a pill, and clear up, as the day wore on I was sleeping more and more, until last Saturday I spent the whole day in bed sleeping. During this time I lost my appetite, hungry but unable to stomach any food. then it struck me it must be those b****y tablets. On Sunday I got up did the chores prepared breakfast, no pill, felt great, and spent a pretty normal day. Since then I have not taken the muck, but I am still washing the residue out of my system. It is taking a while, at least I hope that is why I have been so down all week. I went to the hospital on Monday, and asked to see someone, and had a very nice senior nurse explain my current situation, and she told me there was no point in taking the blasted thing, as it had no effect while connected to a catheter.

So much for the consultant who prescribed them.

Anyway I am feeling better, and heartened by some of the kind words posted on here;

"Arch enemy"

"Malingering again"

..."but most of all your ... photos"

"Provocative and insulting remarks"

How nice to have friends.

Cheers all,

Bauble Bob.

Yep, second that although at first I was somewhat confused by the almost gracious explanatory comments from the OP, we've simply become accustomed to more fiery and cantankerous comments. Sometimes it's not much fun getting on in years as I'm sure we're all well aware, hope things improve Bob.
