touringcarnut should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Is the BTCC just not as exciting?

I don't know if people will agree with me, but the racing is just not as great as it used to be. In the early 90s there was so much more passing, buff n scuff and great racing. Drivers were clearly fighting for the position, giving so much that the cars were on the limit all the time, the engines screaming!! The racing today is great, but there's just not the action and madness that there was in the early 90s: eg Cleland and Soper at the end of the 1992 season. i hope that the new regulations will return the racing to its former glory.

The ETCC who will be using the BTC rules only allow the 4-door saloons which you are used to seeing in Britain a year or more ago. My guess is that the cars which are going to compete in the ETCC might be imported to Britain to race there aswell. So next year promises to be the best yet!

I hope you're right Larsen. I think that the main reason is that there are not enough manufacturers at the moment.

i think it is pretty disappointing if you compare it to years of the past when there were 7 or 8 (even more) manufacturers entered.....right now i think that the super production class is no better than the australian gtp (class a & b) - infact i would say that the oz class is better - though having not seen a btc race this year, is the production racing better than the touring racing ....
