Something I raised in a different forum..

I was just pondering about this…

750 MC race weekend, you get:

22 races over 2 full days, including..

50 Formula Vees

75 Stock hatches

40 Caterhams

A variety of prototype GT cars

Over 40 Sports / GT cars, including TVR’s, Lotus Elises, MG’s etc

Fiver to get in,

Free paddock and drivers who’ll chat to you about how they built their cars

Oh and Cadwell Park!!

BTCC you get:

8 races (ish)

Formula Renault (best single seaters apart from F3)… good racing

3.5 hours of touring car practice alone on Saturday, plus half hour sessions for all other support races.

A Fun Fair.

Internet cafe

2 hours for lunch

16 touring cars

20 quid to get in..

How much for the paddock??? - Meet a bunch of fellow Europeans

Oh and grid girls!!!

So what’s racing all about???

This saying comes to mind:

Quality not Quantity is what matters.

Quality is a difficult thing to quantify... Quality of racing, then I think BTCC has been poor over the last couple of years, has the quality of driving been good??

Quality of racing at a 750 MC meeting is always excellent - due to so many cars and good drivers being present (although stock hatch driving has much to be desired)...

I just think, if you haven't been to something other than a TOCA / POWERTOUR meeting - then you're missing out.
