SILVERS95 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
who has produced this years worst chassis ?

I would have to say JAGUAR have produced this years worst chassis . Eddie irvine looks so fed up at being at the back of the grid most races with out a hope in hell . Pedro is still puishing without making many gains

Next i would say is JORDAN . It looks very snappy , the rear end looks full of oversteer , yet still suffers from bad understeer at the front . Fisi looked totally dejected today before the race , saying he was more concerned with not losing places in the race , and then looked totally fed up after it retired with hydralic failure . Takuma Sato is really finding it hard in a very unpredictable car .

yet teams like Minardi , Sauber , Arrows , even Toyota seem to have a fairly good package .

so my 3 worst teams would be

Jaguar
Jordan
BAR

Jaguar, Jordan... But I'd say Toyota's is absolutely awful. They've obviously got a very good engine, but as the tracks get twistier, they're falling farther and farther back in the field.

The BAR is no prize either.

The best chassis? Ferrari, McLaren, Sauber. Really great stuff.

Toyota have one of the (if not THE)most powerfull engines in F1, so beeing in the low midfield is really bad, but Jag have an engine that has a litle more power than Arrows, I haven'nt noticed that at all.

For a Team like Jordan with the resources that they have , i think they have produced the worst chassis this year .

They were fighting with the top teams a couple of years ago , but this year they have produced a complete dog of a car .

Jordan is the worst , then Jaguar .

renault have really hit the nail on the head this year, some great results have come out and will keep coming, McLaren, great chassis, but **** engine, imagine a BMW engine with McLaren chassis, a bit like the road car!

Arrows have shown potential some places, Spain?

toyota, first year, got it....and so have minardi

Jordan, bad bad bad car, doesnt look fast, doesnt go fast, doesnt make the drivers want to go fast.

BAR, heading downhill, those 5,000 or so jobs didnt help.

Jaguar, big budget, but driver (check), knowledgable people, knowledgable owner, but just cant bring home any results, and Jaguar Formula One team will take Ford Motor Co. down with them, (give them 5 years, if the falcon in australia fails, then ford will be out of australia.)

anyway, on the point, with a bad engine, new driver with potential shows what he and the car can do, good car Minardi

Considering the resources available, Jordan has the worst chassis.

And Jaguar has the worst overall package.

it's gotta be the jaguar chassis..........peter windsor said something interesting about jaguar, their "brand new" wind tunnel as the same as the 1 that geoff willis has told bar to stop using as it's out of date! if this is the case then i don't see jaguar improving at all!

Jaguar, plain and simple. For the amount of money Ford are pumping in, for them to produce this dire chassis and be trundling round the rear of the field smacks of managerial incompetence on the part of Niki Lauda and obviously the design team are either still getting used to working with each other or just have no idea how to design an F1 car.

Jordan are next up. Hamidy did have a reputation as a great aerodynamicist, but that has been soured by this years Jordan. Although the engine is not up to scratch, the chassis is just as much at fault.

If we want to talk engines:

Mercedes have lost the plot completely in the last year and a half. Once the most powerful engine on the grid (1997-99) now they can barely keep ahead of Renault and Sauber. And this pace is hampering the efficiency of the McLaren chassis, which although isn't the best Newey has designed, could certainly achieve more if a powerful engine was bolted to the back of it.

Honda had better pull their finger out as well. They are just soooo slow and nobody seems to know why.

chassis is the middle part part of the car which holds the cockpit, engine, transmission and the rear suspension.

The best would be Renault and Ferrari as they are able to squeeze the rear end of the chasis. Reanult because of the wide spreaded V angle of the engine and Ferrari might be because of non existance of clutch's bellhousing.

The worst would be Jaguar as Arrows has the same engines but they were more competitive but it really had to be the aero package of the car as they are still having problems with the design of their front wings.

Another hopless looking chassis and aero package would be BAR with their troubled ballast.

I'd have to say Jaguar - look what Arrows did with that Cosworth yesterday.

Jordan? No. Bar is just as bad. Toyota? Not brilliant, probably the second worst.

Genuine question. How fast do you think the Jordan would go if it had the Ferrari or BMW engine in it?

I suspect it would be a HELL of a lot faster. I'm not saying it's a great chassis, but I think a lot of you are being a bit too critical of it. Of course, the same arguement would have to be thrown at BAR too. And for ther record, I think the Jordan is better than the BAR.

Jaguar.... (look at the Arrows!)
Jordan It's bad since SATO keeps on ruining them all.
BAR speechless
Minardi Well, they got no money.
Toyota, that's an "unreleased diamond"

Not bad but, need to improve their chassis :
Williams
McLaren
ask the red people the name of that flexible material they use... or use NEOPREME...

Bargeboards & Rear wing elements are not parts of the chassis...furthermore there's nothing wrong with it and it's not against the rule.

If they get away with it. It's becasue of a loophole. Not because it's legal. To use that horrible phrase, it's against the spirit of the rules.

Aha!! I was waiting for that one. It appears that Tom Walkinshaw joined the front part of the Prost to the rear of the 2 man Arrows, and then stuck a Hart engine in the back. And these dodos were absolutely trying to enter this contraption in some of the races so far, but was thwarted by Max and Bernie.
Now if that doesn't sound like the worst chassis, then I don't know what is. Whatever, the Phart stinks.

Jaguar is leading the Waste of the budget competition. Awful chassis. Minardi is weak but it´s understandable. Jordan is very bad but still faster than Jag.

Sauber is the most efficient budget user.

So who says that the Jordan CHASSIS is ****? I think most of the Jordan crapiness (new word in the Collins dictionary) can be put down to the Honda powerplant.

Jag have definitely produced this years worst chassis/aero package.

Despite good results, I'm not really impressed with the Williams chassis. The engine is a stonker (and a race winner) but the chassis is letting it down.
