McDonald's Championship Racing Team

Has anyone another confirmation of this? I remember that for certain races, Bourdais used to wear the McDonald's logo in his car and his suit. Anyway, it could be a good sponsorship ... $$$ |

A bomb. I asked a Spainish speaking friend about the rest, and it appears that Forsythe is working on backing from a casino is Las Vegas that is still under construction. Any idea what newspaper this is from?

Forsythe formed a McDonald's sponsored team in 1999... sure this article isn't 5 years out of date?

racin, your comments could "connect" in some way with the rumor that OWRS will close the season with a Vegas street race at the construction site of the new Wynn's $2 billion casino out there.

It is from Milenio.com, but you have to open an account to see it.
http://www.milenio.com/deportes/nota.asp?id=30569 Yes, according to the news, the casino is going to be called Wynn Las Vegas and it's going to open until April 05. It is mentioned that the perimeter of the casino is 2.5 miles and it may be the place for the race in 2005, so nothing there for this year. That's why I didn't mentioned in the previous post. According to cart.com, the race for this year in Las Vegas is going to take place on May 16, but no place determined yet. |

I think the latest rumour is that St. Petes will take place on May 16th, and LV if it does take place will be the last race on the schedule.

Probably a LV road race at the end of the schedule makes sense. It will draw the SoCal crowd. I think it will be super too.

Blindsided me. I thought for sure it would be Newman Hass and possibly Mario with McDonalds. Welcome McDonalds. Now we need to get some sponsor wars like Nascar - Home Depot and Lowes, where are you Wendy's, BK, In-n-Out???

Couldn't PT get personal sponsorship from "Bob's Big Boy"? He'd be a natural.

Justin Wilson mentioned! Sorry folks, that's what I'm taking out of this thread!
Still, saying this goes through, would PT be comfortable driving a red and white car again? (assuming they are Maccy D's colours) |

Paul Tracy did very well with Penske, I don't see why he'd have a problem with red and white.

That pic of the Kanaan car reminds me of one thing I always found strange about it - the world McDonald's doesn't appear anywhere on the car.

Maybe it's not McDonald's, maybe it was McDowells from Coming to America.

Sad day for ChampCar fans in general, really.
I'm surprised that the entire sign didn't come down, as it still very much resembles the Players logo. Like all of us, I'm more than curious as to what appears on that wall next. |

I will be checking over the next few days. PT says they've been talking with some communications companies.

How funny would it be to see PT take a giant bite of a McRib after the crossed the finish line. Hell, we might even get some Happy Meal toys out of the deal.
Love the Labatts sign Dov. Then I could support the team every weekend. |
