Just heard from Iain. Their race at Hockenheim finished about 16:00 yesterday afternoon. He drove through the night, got the 04:30 ferry from Calais, swapped trucks and is currently waiting at Portsmouth with Mike Bell for their ferry to Caen.

Then it's just a 1200+ mile drive to the circuit...

Is that a 'Libre' type race Mike? Are you out in the FF2000 along with that Tyrrell?

Yup, libre races on Sunday. At least one other FF2000 out, Delta's Delta, and Iain also has his Lotus 22 on truck for himself.

Excited already, long day's trucking ahead though!

Mike, according to your 'Location' you're still in Seville.

36 hours and you haven't moved? What's going on?

This version doesn't look bad.

A thunder shower or 2 on Saturday, otherwise pretty nice.

Well, it's very hot & sunny at the moment!

Arrived at circuit mid yest morn and as usual told couldn't go in until later! That turned into sooner as both trucks carrying FJ's and were admitting by race order...

Anyway, all set up close to showers and loos. Put awning up to have some shade for cars. Think it's right way up

Iain's been out for free practice in the 22 and now decided to change ratios. I'm out later, so hope low sun isnt a problem!

Qualy tomorrow pm and races sat & sun. Would be strange to race here in wet....

Some great grids, and for chunterer, genuine TWR XJS and gp2 XJC cars. GP C will be worth watching as well...

Was only free test Colin, qualifying later this afternoon. Iain did OK but hopes to drop lap times further in race!

Still sun with nice breeze

SOS!

An old friend of mine has broken down in his Rover P5b . . . . he's been at a family wedding about 10-15 miles from Portimao, the cars near Guarda, which is en route back to Santander . . . . . . I think the fuel pumps packed up and its still running its mechanical pump on the V8. It would appear the word competent mechanic doesn't exist in Portugese and he's a bit stuck having called the AA already.( or whomever he's with on the way down, they won't come out again!)

So . .does anyone have a car space on a trailer/transporter back to England . . . or brave enough to stop and help him. It can't be that hard to fix, Steves not in the slightest bit mechanicaly minded, and the car is mint. I reckon it just need an electric pump plumbing in. If anyones got any great ideas please text Steve, or call +44 7778 222443.

thanks
Joe
