Has to be Charles Leclerc. Retiring the car from the lead, by own fault, and crying like a little girl on live radio does it.
Seriously now, Sainz. |

Russell, purely for mugging Perez at the end.

Sainz. Started at the back, got a 5 sec. penalty for an unsafe release, brought into the pits at the wrong time and still finished 5th.

Sainz. He was the faster Ferrari driver almost all weekend.
Maybe even the fast man all weekend long. |

Sainz, but I accidently clicked on Perez, who was definately not DOTHR!
I could have also voted for any of the podium finishers. |

Definitely Carlos. Ferrari did everything they could to nobble his race, but he performed brilliantly. The pass on George was superb.

Sainz. Looked to be the quickest guy all weekend and got a half sensible result despite the teams best efforts.

sainz for me, he had a great race and starting at the back and the unsafe released were not his fault.

I must say this is one of the hardest one for me.
Alonso started perfectly and managed the race with McLaren perfectly. He toyed with Norris and showed his excellent racecraft. I had hoped for the reverse result, but he was absolutely great. Russel once again delivered the goods, and his pass on Perez was like so many said just perfect. He still is a bit young and even one of the most "brainy" drivers on the grid needed Toto to come online and tell him to focus, so I expect him to become even better as time goes on. Then we have Hamilton, who again showed why he is a champion. Just like Alonso, showing the youngsters how to wrestle a win from defeat. But, I have to vote like so many others of you. Carlos Sainz not only was the fastest Ferrari driver this weekend, he showed class and brains in helping Leclerc get pole, managed to do a Vettel and be a better strategist in the car than the pitwall and scythe through the field. That was a race winning drive. Great stuff. Carlos Sainz gets my vote as driver of the day. |

Carlos even had to explain the rules to the pit while he was driving

I was a bit surprised, and chuckled to myself when I was realized I had not expected George to become so frazzled by the racing with Checo. Really good call by Toto to get him to calm down. George have been so cool all year. It's sometimes easy to forget how young he still is. |
