HSCC Croft Entry Levels

Any reason other than distance that the Croft entry levels are quite so low?

I'd presume not - Croft entry levels always seem to be below average for most championships and it seems that the HSCC is no exception.

Should have come to Mallory instead!

Perhaps it is because it is a Saturday meeting.

Are the entry lists anywhere on the web? I'm thinking of going along on Saturday.

Cheers.

I personally do not think the entry is too bad, then again I am not a regular HSCC follower

A 'good' HSCC meeting has nine races and 270 entries. This one has seven races and I know not how many entries.

Its's the combined Derek Bell Trophy/F3 that's particularly dissapointing at 13 entries

plenty of saloons in the HRSR, as theres nowhere else for them to race though I guess thats part of the reason why its so well supported

Its a very long way for us to go for a 20 minute spin, Chimay is Closer, in fact Dijons probably about the same distance from our place!

With the greatest of respect Zef, your post suggests there's another reason for not going?

If you think that the opportunity to race is a hard won priviledge then why would grids be "below par"?

Entry levels may have been low but there was some cracking races. For me the driver of the day was Stuart Tilley 1600 cc chasing (& passing on one occasion) 5000cc was great to watch

only that we've decided that Top Hat is our series this year, we may go back to HSCC next year, it all boils down to time and money at the end of the day.

I never said anything about grids being below par, I'd just like to race against cars which are of a similar nature to mine, unfortunately it doesnt seem to be possible so its just a case of picking the best there is, and this year its Top Hat . . .maybe next year it'll be something else, who knows. judging by my bank balance I won't be doing much next year !
