My Dad knew Trevor through work and at rallycross, and I was under the impression that his original car was an early one which was replaced by a new car when the blue version appeared, I never asked him myself though.

I am not so sure Trevor would have had two RS200's
Although it is possible He started with a1.8 as Ed said, but I think was in a 2.1 by 88, and it was then painted blue, was red originally to reflect the Shell sponsorship. Back then I doubt you would get much back on selling one of these, so Trevor would maybe have kept the rally panelling, if so it would be worth a fortune now, but in rallycross trim not so sure. Still knew nothing of Ken buying it, so be great to see him out in it one day |

A couple of years ago I went to see my Nan who was recovering from a operation in a hospice and the lady next to her was Trevor Hopkins mum!
Had a nice chat. |

(Not sure which driver this 'belongs' to, sorry. EDIT- I think this might be Scott Speed's car.) It looks pretty damn good already. Love the huge wheel arches! Very aggressive. I think I liked last year's better. I do love the blue in this year's though.
Related news- Scott Speed has been testing the Polo and posted a pic. http://instagram.com/p/kkf-9kKQ-c/ You can't see much (apart from it being blue. See, related! ) but it looks pretty damn aggressive. Those wheel arches are huge! (All the better for bumping with?)

Sort of relevant to the overall topic and sort of relevant to the Hopkins/Block RS200 mystery, a recent Drive interview with Ken Block on his 2014 season...
