Fat Controller should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
MGCC meeting at Silverstone - 24th/25th September

Does anyone have any finals for this meeting (ie timetable etc)? I have just volunteered (today!) and I know what snail mail is like. I'm not available on the Saturday, as I am on the Stowe circuit with BARC SEC for a sprint/race meeting.

I assume it will stay dry?!?!

I believe this meeting is now a one-day event on the Saturday only.

Regs are available on http://www.mgcars.org.uk/carclub/pdf/Silvregssept05.pdf

However not sure if it is a two day meeting as Regs only state Sat 24th, as does MST-timing website on www.mst-group.co.uk whilst Silverstone 2005 yearbook states 24/25th Sept.

I guess John Watson will soon point us in the right direction!

Dear Colleagues,
Our original Program indicated that this would be a two day weekend event to be run on Saturday 24th.September and Sunday 25th.September, to replace our Brands Hatch meeting. (I commented on this earlier in the Year. A1GP and all that).

Unfortunately some of the Guest Championships that had booked with us for Brands Hatch would not support another one of their Championship Rounds on the National Circuit at Silverstone. Consequently this meeting has now been condensed to a one day event to be run on Saturday 24th.September 2005

This has been brought about by our commitment to run good, clean, and competitive races with full grids. We could not have achieved this if we were to spread the content of this meeting over two days. Hence, we have opted to hold an action packed one day event. We felt it would be better to have one good day than two mediocre days.

Most volunteers were to marshal with us for both days and I apologise for any inconvenience caused and sincerely hope that it does not deter them from supporting us on the Saturday.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

If you want somewhere to go on the Sunday, how about Cadwell Park with the 750MC.
I'll be there now, contact Peter Harding or myself for passes.

I'm also over at Stowe with BARC SEC for this one. Good luck with the meeting John, I hope you have a good one, its a shame i've had to miss this MGCC meeting as I've done the others at silverstone this season and I like to support the MGCC as they are always good to us marshals.

Its in Lincolnshire between Horncastle and Louth.

I see you are from Westcott. If thats Westcott, Beds, its about 3-4 hours.
If its Westcott, Oxon its about 3-4 hours. From Westcott, Surrey its 3-4 hours. Westcott, Devon its 4-5 hours.

I do actually know where it is, it's just even my reindeer think it's too cold up there
I know when I take my daughter up to Durham Uni even the brass monkeys stay indoors!!
I like the sunshine (so why do I live in England??)
I fully intend to come (or should it be go?) there, but not this weekend I'm afraid, so the pleasure will have to wait a tad longer. On a serious note and off thread, do you have any 2 day meetings there next year? If I get them in my diary early enough, there's a good chance..................

and btw, Westcott is in Bucks

Clive - You have now put yourself on my Cadwell Park mailing list of availability forms for next year, as I do have a bit of an involvement there when I am not with the MG Car Club. I am sure that there will be some two day events taking place. Journey time is 2 1/2 hours.
I will discuss your acclimatisation requirements on Saturday, and I do carry a very nice line in Padded waterproof Jackets etc.
