Nigel Scott
I was shocked to hear yesterday that Nigel Scott, one of the more likeable Chiefs at BRSCC SE suffered a brain heamorrage (Please excuse the spelling!) last Friday. He is still poorly, heavily sedated, but out of imediate danger.
I was told the news by Alec Knyvett at the AMOC raceday. Alec says he's handling all queries from marshals to take the pressure off his family. There was a card to be signed at sign-on wishing the old bu**er well soon! I can only echo this. Nigel is at present, in the Atkinson Morley Hospital. Get well soon mate! |

Never worked with the chap, but he has the unique distinction of being one of the few people that I've only ever heard good stories about.
Best wishes and get well soon. |

This is indeed very sad news. Despite the ritual ribbing at every meeting, Nigel is a respected and valuable member of the BRSCC SE team and will be sorely missed. Who is going to supply the sweets on post 4 now, who will be the butt of the jokes about Morriss Dancing?
Get well soon Scotty. Stephen. |

Get well soon Nige. How will the Brands marshals be able to keep on there toes if your not walking round checking on them?

Shocked reading this! Get well soon Nigel. As Richard S. mentioned, it's not just the marshals that miss you.

I contacted the hospital to get a ward so we could send something over, but they don't seem to have a record of him.
If anyone is getting an update, could they PM me with an address we can send a get well card to please. Ta |

I have spoken to Mildred and Nigel is comfortable although still very poorly. Naturally the hospital are restricting visitors to family members only so please don't turn up hoping to be able to get in to see Nigel. I think this is pretty common practice and nothing we should worry about.

Nigel Scott
I tried to visit Nigel on Tuesday evening but he had undergone an operation that day and was still in the recovery ward. No visitors allowed. They found a brain and have sent it off to be analysed as it is like new, never been used!!!
He is being moved back to the ward today but they would like him to rest so I will go along on Monday. While this is very serious for our Nige I am told by his brother (yes there are two of them) that he is off the danger list. Being realistic I think it will be a while before he attends Brands. Thanks to all who have expressed their good wishes and I will pass them onto his family. |

A few years ago my mother suffered the same thing as Nigel.
While the first few weeks were touch and go, she is now fine with no ill effects. So while it might look a bit bleak at the moment, prepare for a long haul and all should be fine. |
