I don't care an EV but interested in to know what kind of plush animal is lying on joeb's dash! May be a… bug!

That plush animal is my old affectation, wool and fleece flat cap for the colder days instead of my usual flannel ball cap. It's not so much one of those days this week, it's been high teens and low 20s this week, which is very nice

20's F sounds horrific

We had a more comfortable (I dont mind the heat) 37C here yesterday. Air conditioning day. No wool and fleece flat caps here, more need for a sun hat.
A slightly more chilly 26C today but tomorrow back in the 30's.

I was trying to be nice to the weird folks using some odd new thermal units. I don't think it will ever catch on but good on them trying

Not so often you can spot an A8 with flamming! They're more either director car or mafia car here, those people hiding themselves behind dark tinted windows.

Here an A or S8 was a lease car and BEAT either inside or in the motor by lease owner "maintenance". You'll get a deal and everything will be broken or so broken the light burned out from being on for years

I think I understand what you mean. I wonder if they have a hidden program which destroys some electric/electronic parts over the years. Ask any tuner, its hard even for a very skilled technician to get all the codes to fix issues or improve something the ECU.

It's more that Americans who lease cars treat them in a manner I can only describe as how Top Gear/Grand Tour thinks the French treat their cars. I wouldn't touch an off lease car unless it was near free. Usually they're the smaller engine version of cars they think will impress, often German, but fancy Japanese cars are in there too

How French that their cars I see! During decades the Japanese bike makers said that the French market was the best to test the reliability of their products. No maintenance at all, no oil draining when necessary, cold start and WOT and… WTF!!!
I had a bloke specialized in buy-back cars, and I bought some lease cars from him. Really fair prices for me and as he used to say if it didn't break during the 6K miles of abuse it won't ever break. Like a heavy shakedown every mile. Worked fine, my clients were family, including mum, and some garages too.
