Its an effect you see there from the camera view. Its this part exactly you see.
The new supra is for sure shorter than the lc500 thats why its even more visible.

Just to emphasize the point, the aero development freeze rules would presumably mean the Supra would have to use the same bodywork shape in the non-silhouette areas as the LC is, as happened when Mercedes changed body styles in DTM.

"DTM manufacturers want to freeze the engine part for at least three years, while the brands present in SUPER GT want to continue to develop"

What are your thoughts about this my follow motorsports fans?

Hopefully BMW and Audi private teams in GT500 in near future?

I think sending Class One car to Japan is a clearly lie.
It is a bluff to make the unification of technical regulations their own advantage.
German manufacturers just do not want to spend money on technological development.

And what part of that was because of the world financial situation at the time? The brands now are enjoying profits so there's not as much concern about huge budgets. It seems you can make an advantage these regulations because in 2017 Lexus definitely had a big advantage.

You basicly answered yourself with 2017 Lexus and budgets what was my point with supergt while DTM has far better solution with nobody really gaining any advantage and far more steady budget.

Turn Super GT into a technically bland spec-series? there are countless of these already smothering motorsport in a ocean of unbroken dullness. Keep watching the DTM.

Well or you put your own millions in it and change it? Sorry but gt500 were slowly going away and everybody noticed it. They have just became crazy expensive in pre dtm style.
Yes we all loved them but still. They found a solution in a way now so im not sure what is wrong with that.
Both series clearly got some of their ideas into this class now and we can hope the best from both.
And yeah i rather see 4-5 manufacturers competing and that all actually have a chance to be competitive rather than 1.

While DTM obviously is, I don't know if the current Super GT cars are really that much cheaper, so much as the idea was being able to spread the cost out more between 7 or 8 manufacturers and 3 series. Which hasn't really happened because NASCAR flaked out, nobody is joining each other's series and the joint races are tantamount to lighting a stack of money on fire.

JAF is still going along with them but DTM itself is pretty precarious right now so they inherently aren't as committed to the joint Class 1 regulations as they outwardly say.

https://www.motorsport.com/supergt/n...japan/4304490/

"Also [it becomes easier] if Super GT is expanding more to an Asian rather than purely focused on Japan, because a national sort of championship is always less attractive than a regional one.

"This is also the reason why with the ITR we worked so hard on making the DTM a more European championship rather than a German championship, and being 50/50 [with venues] is one of the first steps in that direction."

I think there's big different about Asian and Euro thinking about this one, first about geography areal, you can traveling across Europe with truck or plane and only some day maybe week but not with Asia area ok if the class that race is GT500 only but maybe he forget that's lot privateer team in GT300 that can't make trip across Asia.

If it's make flood for team from Asia I can it's win-win solution but I didn't think that's will happening anytime soon, cause China GT and Blancpain Asia still growing up.

DTM's attitude is here.
We "might" send Class one car, so you should freeze car development.

I am not sure if they're serious about that but hopefully Super GT says no thanks. Imo, they should be able to compete with the GT500's with a little more effort and some competitive tires. If not then stay in Europe and let GT500 go on from these dtm style cars.
