The livery looks very... low rent doesn't it.. like Scott's Fujitsu livery but with a worse colour and more basic design? Not necessary the designer's fault, Fujistsu may have preferred these colours and design. I thought it was supposed to be an environmental message.. I suppose the black represents the coal used to generate the electricity to power John and Jane's Fujitsu air conditioner ? A green/white or green/silver combo with the previous year's design would have looked classier in my opinion: |

I guess Fujitsu and Brighty don't subscribe to the old adage that green race cars are unlucky...

I quiet like it--it is different to all the other boring livery's. And the green reminds me of Dick's XE.

Personally speaking, I would've preferred the green and white livery myself but it'll sure stand out that's for sure.
I really think Brighty could be a dark horse this season. |

I'll always remember that car is the one that 'won' the 2001 QLD 500... How a car that's stuck in the gravel trap can win a race is beyond me... Guess I should just ask Jim Richards...
IIRC wasn't that paintscheme changed at Pukekohe 2001, to update with Castrol's new logo? |

It seems PR is an option Britek no longer utilise... allowing their satellite driver to show the car to the world rather than at a full launch.... |

Mr Lowe seemed to take out the sister car and run it, and someone was aboard #26 as in your other pics... seems strange to have dragged the car out there and not run it... it is an MWR chassis however, either their self-built one or the ex-Thexton chassis.. |

I'm meaning that the front splitter and side skirts provides too much frontal downforce from the retooled VZ Commodore and BF Falcon, so the BA will need to be upgraded to a BF.

What's this about a retooled VZ?
Seems like a waste of money. It's the development series... does it matter why not let the VZ and BA run? The standard VZ ran against the BF in the main game after all and the BA is equivalent to the VZ, there's hardly any difference... especially so with development-series drivers where many won't be going to the limit of the car, or there won't be the dollars to throw tens of thousands worth of shocks and springs at it to get the best set-up, anyway. Or was the main game VZ modified... sorry my mistake? |

When the BF Falcon was introduced in 2007, the VZ Commodore provided too much downforce in the rear and front so the areo kit was modified. (I think that small lip spoiler was deleted and there was less anchor points for the spolier angle adjustment and the underside of the splitter was flatten if memory serves me correctly so all up I think it creates about 80kgs less downforce than 2006 specs) So the areo adjusted VZ was dubbed the "Retooled VZ Commodore." I'm about 99.9% certian that the Retooled VZ will run in the DV8 Series against the BF only.

And every man and his dog will complain that the BA has too much of an advantage over the VZ and BF. The BA will be replaced as soon as Clipsal or round 2.

I'm thinking that Birtek have done a deal with Kawasaki to pick up all the paint they won't be using on MotoGP this year. To be honest it looks shocking on a bike but we accept it cause that is Kawasaki's colour, but there is no excuse to put it on a car.
