For once I agree with bluesport, substituting QLD for NSW, & G@yfl for afl.
The sooner the series goes back to 10 the better.

If we are teetering on the brink, can somebody push Bob first, then Julia and then the rest of the time wasters and oxygen thieves that are consuming our valuable rescources!!!

Maybe the V8 telecast will get canned due to volcanic ash?

Would be funny if Channel 7 had no footy to telecast, if a few games get canned due to teams unable to fly!!!

And how is going back to 10 going to help, they will put it on Ch 1 and if you can't get 7 Mate then you can't get Ch 1 so it would be no different, Ch 7 and Vesa have done the best they can to get the racing on in the afternoon, also you can also watch it on Bigpond TV as you must have internet

Well aren't you an understanding D**khead Peckstar.... We don't get 7mate in country WA !!!!!

We only kept Australia from plunging into recession yet all we get is ABC, SBS, GWN (7) & WIN (9 & 10).

We only got digital channels 6 months ago !!!

In P1 Murph was on Softs evidently, but he's been on Hards for the rest....

It'll be interesting to see if the KR cars can keep punching above their weight through P4, Qual and the Race, it really would be nice to see some top 10 results for Murph and their performance so far hasn't reduced my optimism

it will be on Mate, with a replay at 10.40 pm. (as it is in all states allowing for time zones)
Most people even in a place as backwards as sydney have digital tv now, if not they should prepare

We're getting Sundays racing at 11:10 until 12:40 and in country SA we have digital TV but no 7mate...

Thats what happens when everyone else puts their good tyres on.
Use all yours in the first sessions and have nothing left!

Given you can't even qualify on softs I am not sure why some teams sent their co drivers out on them in the first sessions.

It is not like Darwin conditions are replicated around the country.

So why not switch to softs at every event. Would make car setup more consistent... the teams seem to think they can last a stint at Bathurst, especially now the stints are so much shorter because of the poorer mileage of the ethanol control fuel..

As for the racing, an unexpected result pops up here every other year or so, so how about, say Karl Reindler for a podium?

Sizzle, each car was allowed one set of pre marked tyres for session 1 and 2. I guess in the case of Murph they choose a set of pre marked softs which may give them a set up advantage in the 2nd race because they have had the chance to experiment with soft tyres

Could be Pecky, not sure why Bairdo was on them though unless they think he can give them better feedback than fabulous. We shall see in the fullness of time I guess.

They could only be used in the first two sessions (P1 and P2), as baird was the only driver in the car in that session he would be the only one allowed to use them

interesting qualyfying session

HRT have improved

Apologies to anyone having problems at the start of the telecast today. Seven had issues at their end which are now all fixed. Everything is back and running to schedule for qualifying, Armor All Top Ten Shootout and first race from Hidden Valley this afternoon. Touring Car Masters will now be shown at a different time so look out for your local guides.

jsut asking the question before i hear a result, should not the penalty for dumbrell be the same as cutting a chicane or even going off on the 5th (?) corner at Winton
