Thats a harsh call. Nathan Antunes i rate higher, also has more experiance with powerful cars, like A1GP, WSR, and GP2. Also with shortage of spare parts, if Ash makes a mistake, it could wreak the entire weekend for the team. IMO i would of but in Nathan with his experiance and skills. But i do hope Ash does a good solid job.

Maybe, besides each driver's relative skills and experience, finances might also be an important factor in the choices?

The thought crossed my mind whether Walsh must be paying for this. There were no spares issues at Chengdu in the end and you'd have to be unlucky to do series damage around Sepang.

Maybe it is paying. But Ash is a good driver anyhow. I know for a fact Nathan has had major finacial trouble since 2006 after red bull sacked him, which basically turned his career upside down. He couldn't race at all in 2007 because of it. 2008 he finally has gotten in his feet again which was great news. He got invited for the last 2 rounds and he was doing great times. I just hope he can get some rookie sessions this year.
