Camera Mounts

im looking for a decent in-car camera mount, can anyone point me in the direction of a decent supplier, makes to avoid? or general advice for the usage of such equipment, cheers

i believe the common mounting point for track days are the headrest strut bars?

I can muchly recommend: http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera%20su...%20systems.htm

They've supplied all sorts of mounts for Ch4's "Driven", amongst others.

Alternatively, if your camcorder has a AV input - why not invest in a mini 12v camera. you can put them almost anywhere without the need for a specialist mount, are less obtrusive, and don't block your view as much.

I've used a wireless one with the cam corder and reciever in the boot, and the camera itself gaffa taped to the top of the instrument biniccale of my 106, and it worked very well on the road. However the same system didn't work at all in a Q-Pod (see www.qpod.co.uk) due to vibrations causing the reciever to go out of tune) so a wired version is probalby best.

see http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/12vcam.htm

If you do lots of trackdays, one of their bullet cameras would be a worthwhile investment.

Some good bullet cams also available from http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/helmet_cameras.htm - like Stig said, you do need an AV input.
