Still not enough info yet but that cost definitely caught my interest so I'm keen to know all the details which that cost accounts for.

I am also curious as to what this engine package includes for the quoted price?
All the race season rebuilds, testing mileage to a limit, a spare engine with the team (absolute essential one would think)?
There was some mention that this engine will be exclusive to Ginetta? Wonderful idea for Ginetta, but not so wonderful for Meccachrome if they don't sell any cars. I can see that becoming non exclusive very quickly then

Yeah, I asked the question about the exclusivity in the Friday press conference and they appeared rather set on this being a Ginetta-only deal.

For the old regulations you can outright buy the engines for €86778 and have them rebuilt for €40500, but practically speaking everyone was leasing them anyways which is €1402/hour.

looks good. A big diffuser, much bigger than the hybrid cars.

CLM nismo engine should push not less than 650hp, considering that it was able to hit 3:24 without any real aero development; guess that with the same power and a much better developed aero (+ michelin tyres pheraps) 3:22 shouldn't be an issues.
Considering also that next year, very likely lmp2 will be able to set 3:24 at least.
Let's see if this ginetta lmp1 will be in grid for real next season

I thought Sam Collins said the CLM Nismo engine was at 600hp due to the fuel flow, but capable of 700.

being a V6 twin turbo, it could push up to 1000hp with an insane turbo pressure boost.
Anyway, CLM aero development is quite poor, so I guess it produces a lot of drag and a laughable downforce. Anyway the car managed to hit 340km/h at le mans and was the highest top speed car at spa too.
Considering that the car should have >100kg/h fuel flows, the real power output could be really over 600hp. Won't be surprised if has >750Nm as torque peak, being nismo gt-r engine revlimit set to 6500rpm if 2015 memory help me.
BTW, over 700Nm, >600hp @6500rpm... these remind me the DBR9 V12 figures....

And their sound! Never saw one live, but even on the TV they sounded great. I wonder if anyone besides Kolles will ask for the Nismo engine.
