Snetterton 200
Hi, racing at Snetterton on the 200 circuit in a couple of weeks - I have raced quite a number of times on the old format. Is it very different and worth spending the extra money to test before?
Thanks Mark |

The 200 circuit has the different Sear corner complex (aka Montreal) which then rejoins the old Revett Straight. Then Russell has been reprofiled as well. Probably not worth a specific test.

The last part of Coram has changed, I'd be interested in hearing any advice on this and the entry to the left hander at the end as it seems to have me beat.

Late turn-in to get as much of a 'line' for braking. Fine if your not defending.

Yup, stay left and fast for as long as you can, and tighten your line later in the corner so that as much of the braking zone is as straight as you can manage that allows you to turn in from the right hand side into Russell.
Much later turn in but at the same speed as the old layout, gradually bleeding off as the turn tightens. A very challenging corner, and whilst it's not a pure 'fast', 'ballsy' corner anymore, it's probably more important in terms of laptime than before. |

New Coram into Russell/Murrays: very difficult to find a braking point as there's no reference points. I count "2" after passing the last apex kerb; others were hitting the brakes later than me, but not really taking any distance out of me. Its turning & braking at the same time; I had a few huuuge lock-ups. Gotta end up over to the right for the new "chicane" or you'll be passed sooo easily on the following straight. I think its a great corner now.
