Well after a disastrous quali for ferrari you thought things could not get worse for them, but you would be wrong, i suspect as usual the team will argue amongst themselves, but they need to sort themselves out.

Was interesting that after all the breakdowns last week only Ocon broke down this week.

Considering the thousands of photographs each team analyses from each race,it would be a fairly dozy team that didn't pay close attention to the most successful car of last season.Unless they actually used the same CAD models, and it needs to be proved,a level of topological similarity is quite likely.Perhaps somebody ought to be asking why the whole grid isn't filled with Mercedes clones.I am familiar with the different packaging constraints and some could be reduced in significance for a performance gain.
On a different note, does it seem that the "agreed" changes to the Ferrari engine seem to have dragged the customer teams back to the sort of performance that McLaren had in the Honda years? |

Feels to me like Renault wants to protest for the spirit of the sporting regs and sporting fairness. The fact every car with an MB engine/transmission and even a few listed parts isn't a copy of last year's design baffles me. |

Can someone please explain how Stroll avoided a penalty for forcing Ricciardo off the track ????? Did his dad give the stewards a bit of cash.
He screws up his passing attempt, forces Ricciardo off the track. (The only reason there was not big contact is Ricciardo turning left to avoid him. He is off the track himself when he completes the pass on Ricciardo. His poor driving basically cost Ricciardo 3 positions Racing incident ??? WTF Compare that to the 2 penalties Ricciardo go at last years French Grand Prix, when he was arguably in more control of his car. |

For those who would like to judge for themselves:
Paul Ricard 2019: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/a...TEC1Nvvv3.html Austria 2 2020: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/a...wd8F3ZqtP.html Can’t say I have a really strong opinion on this. |

Yeah, that was racing incident no more, no less. Mostly because both screwed up the corner and either could have been faulted for being stupid, Ric early and Stroll late. He probably should have conceded the spot back and they went at it again later

Not only did Stroll not leave room for Ricciardo, he forced Ricciardo to take avoiding action to such an extent he forced him off the track, did not even stay within the track confines himself, and gained advantage! A lot of money must have changed hands, beyond comprehension! Leclerc also, nothing, seems to be if Vettel is involved the other driver is free and clear no matter what! Kudos to Charles for admitting the mistake though! Last edited by wnut; 13 Jul 2020 at 02:27. |

Not quite as action packed as the first race, but still enough going on to keep us interested.
Great win for Hamilton, good recovery from Bottas. Max did his best, shame his tyres went off. Albon needs to pick up his pace again Ferrari's current standing summed up by the clash between the two drivers. Bit ambitious by Leclerc, but at least he held his hands up for it. Racing Point made a good recovery, shame both drivers got a bit ambitious at the end. We'll see what happens with the Renault protest. McLaren went a bit backwards in the race, until another late race charge by Lando. Shame Russell threw it away, imagine what he could have achieved but for that moment |

At least with Ferrari we didn’t see the drivers blaming each other when they came together, unlike the Haas drivers
