I was 2 at the time myself

But I have been to Oran Park at different times over the last 20 years or so, and noticed it has been packed out fairly strongly... even in the Group 'A' days!

mixxer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I was there and the crowds today are far larger and most of them are better informed.

Exactly Group A in the late 80's early 90's had huge crowds, as big as now.

I remember a time when anybody,if he or she had the correct licence and a car that passed scutineering, could race in the local round of the ATCC even if he could not afford to run the whole series.

Oran Parks looks full with 7000 people there, I was referring to Bathurst.

At OP, they can get a crowd to the opening of a brown paper bag. I've been to some truck meetings there that had huge crowds.

But deadset, come 1992 some of the crowds around the country were terrible. I remember Lakeside in 92, relative ghost town... what was the driving force behind the ditching of grp a?

Back in the late '80s at Oran Park events (Group A) like the Pepsi 250, the reverse direction meeting and a couple of others where you could have let a bomb off and not hit anyone, the crowd was so sparse.
