Onboard chase footage - Ford Galaxie 500 V8 Touring Car @ Silverstone GP

Well, probably not called Touring Cars in there day but what fabulous cars these where/are and it was great to see one out on track during a recent trackday at Silverstone GP.

Footage is captured from one of my students cars, as he exits the pits, the Galaxie cruises by and we get a full lap behind it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQut_5VLJRk

Definitely one of the cars that gave me the desire to go racing.

Looks like a Delta preparared car. Back end looks very high I think I would drop that down a couple of inches.

I know some of the yankee books advocate the ass sticking up in the air but I think thats more a throw back to roundy round high speed ovals and for aerodynamic reasons, I have found they are better more or less level.

Are you sure the high appearance is not mostly just the wide angle of the camera from a very low Lotus? (Assume it is a Lotus or something exteremely similar?)

Yeah my bad it looks good in that photo, I also think the fish eye lens may have given the effect I am not keen on those things to be honest and prefer a standard widescreen camera.
