Did v8sc end up tipping in to cover some of the travel and accommodation costs which the teams cried about not budgeting for as the o/s was to be all expenses covered?

The event itself? Nothing. It's fantastic!

But I hate watching motor racing through a wire fence. Chicken wire is for zoos......

you will be taking Bathurst off your list next year then.

Catchment fencing is part of the new upgrades, unless you sit in the grandstand and can see over

Only down the bottom as far as I have heard.

Probably more to stop the idiots charging over the circuit at race-end to get a sign so big they can't even take it home!

As far as i know only down the bottom

and i am sure that when they put the positives and negatives of new catchment fencing in a list that "stopping the idiots charging over the circuit at race-end to get a sign so big they can't even take it home! " was in the positive.

on a seperate issue, i note that last time we were at EC the crowd was 28k, but over 3 days.

the crowd at QLD raceway this year was 46K (over 3 days) and the sat/sun crowd was 31 k

Hmm, guess interested spectators is a bit like the trees that don't exist right
