BTCC Rounds 25/26/7, Silverstone

Time to get the ball rolling on a new thread...

Neal's hand is still painful and Neal predicts a "bloody affair" at Silverstone.

Stockton returns (as per posts in the Rockingham thread) in the Thorney Insignia; Fuller gets another go in the Team HARD car; Smith's Civic has been rebuilt.

With very little between Neal, Shedden and Plato this meeting could well be the pinch point in the season, and looks likely to set up a glorious finale at Brands.

Oh, and on the plus side, no rain is forecast over the weekend (but it's going to be bloody cold so wrap up warm)!

I predict a strong weekend for WSR. Low tyre wear track, strong engine package.

IF a model of car was found to be way off pace during quali, could TOCA adjust the boost levels between quali and R1?

Nope, they're set in stone for the weekend once they're issued to the teams in the midweek before the event.

Cynical hat on. The 4 Hondas sandbagging this afternoon so they get da boost for Brands? Race laps are never going to be as quick as qualifying ones......

That's a great question! The reports did always saying stuff like "planning to" rather than "will"

It was down to be due at Silverstone or Brands, one or the other. Guess its Brands then.

Word was they 'planned' to enter the BTCC at Silverstone OR Brands Hatch.

The emphasis being on planned here, how many times has a plan by a team entering the BTCC ever come to fruition?

Another 'classy' overtake by Plato.

The cynical nudge-past-the-apex as championed by Plato is ruining junior motorsport.

Spot on. He has done it 3 times this race. It's universally accepted too.
