May I say a 'thank you' to the marshals in the post at the bottom of Paddock Hill Bend who made me welcome when I beached my maroon Chev Camaro (no 55) just outside their lair in the Historic Road Sports Race, Sunday afternoon. A really jovial crew you are, and mainly seemed to be Scots ! Apparently I was your first visitor that weekend. Very funny, sardonic and v. professional, and thank you all.
The brake fluid boiled, and when it cooled down, I was able to drive the Chevrolet home undamaged. My special thanks to the JCB driver who hauled me out from a sill-deep beaching extremely carefully. Great bunch and I hope I don't have to do a second appearance !

May I add a general note of thanks to all the orange army at Brands this weekend, as we didn't get chance to wave to many of you on the truncated slowing down lap. Much appreciate the time, effort, and in my case at the back of HTC, lots of waved blues.

I would like someone to pass on our "Historic FF2000" thanks to the assembly Marshall. I was very impressed the way he kept his cool after showing 1 minuet board there was a horrible accident as one of the cars needed a bump start and the drivers dad went end over end hitting the ground hard with his head.
Sorry I dont know his name but he kept his cool calling the medic's over to take the Dad off to medical center then carried on with the count down. Please pass on our thanks. Cheers lain.
