Kevin Cooke should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sports 2000 1 Hour and 100 mile Races.

I notice that 'Delta' raised a query on the HRA Website re their 100 mile races.

I intend to do the Monza 100 mile race in October so Ian if you get any more info please post it on 10 Tenths.

BTW if anyone has a Sports 2000 lurking in their garage and they are interested in longer races the SRCC are starting a series of 1 hr races for S2's with classes for Historic, Pinto and Duratec.

This year, 2012,there are 3 1 hour races (4 if you look ar the SRCC website but that includes the 2x30 min races at Spa which is a bit of a cheat). They are:
  • Thruxton, 28th/29th July.
  • Snetterton (300) 25th/26th August.
  • Brands GP (yes GP) 15th/16th September.
The SRCC can be 1 or 2 driver as can the HRA and whilst the SRCC are allowing refueling this year as from 2013 they will not.

Luckily my T492 was fitted with a large bag tank in 2010 and will happily run for 1.5hrs if needed.

Regards

Kevin

S2000

Hi Kevin

Out of interest do you have a link to the HRA website. Would be interested to see how the europeans do S2000.

Cheers

Mark,

Its not very illuminating http://www.hra-online.de/en.

I did 1 race with them in 2010 a 100 mile race at the Spa Summer classic which was fantastic, I tried to race with them last year but the class for sports 2's at a race at the Old Timer GP they said had been arranged didn't go ahead.

But a 'raid' this year down to Monza really appeals

Regards

Kevin.
