That time of year again

Flat out for everyone as the drivers title is wrapped up already - should be pretty open. There's the added novelty value of Valentino Rossi competing too.

Anyone going out to the stages at all?

I will probably give it a miss this year and spend the cash saved on going to the Monte - if only in protest at the idiotic decision to leave the sport's greatest event off the WRC calendar next year. Lets hope the WRC management aren't let loose on any other sports or we'll end up with a football world cup without Brazil, Italy and Spain...

Some of those stages are waaaaay too short 3.67Km (1.86 miles) that's less than you get at clubman single venue events for a stage.

I'm sure that the Scandanavians were really worried about the ice. Come back the proper RAC Rally.

Farbrooke has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I'm with your sentiment BertieMk2 - So is the ice problem Health and Safety based in this modern nanny rally world or is it a case of the technology of the cars means they are undriveable if not driven at 10 tenths - bit like F1 cars and tyre/brake temperature -
If that is the case then could they not just change the 'chip' - likely hood of this weather has been known for a week.
They complained in Group B days they could not drive them for long perods then happily went to the Safari in down tuned cars.

The WRC is a joke
poor entries, short rallies, poorly marketed which is why there is virtually no serious TV
Ford,Citroen and Subaru like to play as they have not got the guts to compete in the WTCC
WRC should be killed off before it kills itself
