Grimace should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hmmm the Holden boys are quiet! Ford Wins

After looking "pretty" on the front row HRT fell apart, Skaife shocking start, complained on Ch10 not enough car speed in the race. HRT stuff up Todds pitstop, Todd drops back as usual, even Murph couldnt make ground(he admitted this on TV) on Stone Brother Falcon of Russell, even Ambrose gets a fair old finish.

FALCON WINS AT INDY!!!!!!!!!!!Fords rightfull place...

roll on tomorrow another one for Falcon & Ingall eh!!!

I think the hit in the pit might go a bit further so hang on.

It was a good drive for Russell, but I do feel sorry for Todd, a great qualifying lap, only to be let down in the pits. Good to see most of the cars get through without major damage, hope it doesn't get worse tomorrow.

I'll say.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Murf cop a penalty for running into the back of Ingal

I actually think it's the Ford guys that are quiet, at Bathurst they were all safety concious concerned about the damage Skaife's door could do & now they're condoning Ingall committing a dangerous act of jumping in front of another car in pit lane, imagine what could've happened if Murphy didn't brake & made good contact with Ingall.

Yeah it would have been a huge hit!!

It could go either way though. It was a close call, and I wouldn't be suprised if a time penalty is given.

Maybe just a fine though ala HRT at sandown.

I thought it good to see both DJR cars in the top 10. Small steps like this and they might get the confidence back that they need, to put down some more pleasing results!

Also I was happy for Russell. Great to see him win another round - even things up slightly between him and "golden boy" Marcos!

Hope the morbid looks on the teams faces this arv., isn't an indication of the results of the Murphy complaint

Here's hoping that Rusty keeps his win, the move was daring but I don't think it deserved a penalty.

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Certainly does not deservere a penatly I think Murf just whinging course he could not catch RI, and after he lap and Bathurst win ( In which CH10 reminded us today of that more times than they had commerical).
Well done SBR & Rusty go out and do it again tommorow and rubb Murf nose in it even more.

Here we go again - deciding what could have happened - all, of course, with the benefit of hindsight...

Unfortunately Ingall did pull out in front of Murphy, but the Gold Coast didn't explode in a ball of flame, Pauline Hanson wasn't released from gaol and George Dubya didn't return to Australia because he had left his wife behind!

Wait until the result of any stewards hearing is anounced - and then debate that rather than 'what if's'

If Ingall gets pinged for that(lucky if any paint got swapped)Bright should have got the death penalty for PI.

No action was taken by stewards.

Congratulations Russell and FORD FALCON #9 on your win.

Stone Brothers for lightning fast pits stops(should teach HRT how to do it LOL)

...and make it another win tomorrow !!!

Number 1, Skaife complained about his own performance, not the car.

Number 2, the air jack on Todd's car let go before they had finished the stop, go watch the replay and you'll see the guy still had the nozzle attached.

And all I can say is, so much for there being a bias with HRT, looks to me like it's with SBR! Russell should have been pinged, the rules are clear cut here, if you make contact it's a drive through.

After the penalties Murphy has copped he has got plenty of reason to complain.

In the pitlane it's the car controllers job to ensure their car rejoins the race clear of any traffic. It is not the responsibility of the people already in the fast lane to watch out for people coming out.

Don't you remember Queensland?

I was just watching the pit entry and it seems to me that Murphy was awfully close to Ingall so the paint rub could have occurred in either incident IMHO.

Congratulations to SBR and as for Murphy just because you had one isn’t a license to act like one.

If that sort of incident happens tommorow in the CART race the car in Ingall's position will be penalised.

Actually, I've just watched the video again, and on the slow mo replay they do, you can actually see Russell's car get bumped....

Just thought I'd point it out.

Fair enough Wizzby, I didn't tape it. I saw the replay of the pit entry on Sports Tonight and Murphy like most of the cars seemed to dive up the backside of the car in front.

That said the stewards have reviewed the incident and Rusty is the race winner.

Good stuff,I was a lil worried when I saw there were only 3 Henry's in the shootout and with a HRT front row, I was very happy that Russell got a win. Ambrose also had a brilliant race, to finish 6th was a mighty effort and well done to whoever in SBR made the call to bring him in.

Isn't it a pity that we allways end up talking about penalties.
