Getting Involved

Hi,

For most of you the 2002 season is over or nearly over, but looking ahead to 2003, I was hoping to spend a race day/weekend with a team/driver to see what club motorsport is like from the inside.
Although I have a good knowledge and interest in the sport dating back several years, I have had never had the chance to be involved with a meeting as part of a small team. Although I lack mechanical knowledge, I would love to have the oppertunity to spend a meeting with a team, seeing what the sport is like from a drivers/competitors point of view. I have transport, and am willing to travel to take up this oppertunity.

If anyone is interested in allowing me to join up with them for a meeting, please PM or e-mail me

Thankyou

Andy.

2CV Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi Andy,

Any interest in being involved in a team for the 24 hour 2CV race (currently down for June 14/15 in Snetterton)? Various roles can be undertaken without mechanical knowledge - timing, pit signalling, fire cover during refuelling, assisting driver changeovers, making pots of tea, making sandwitches, running the bbq, .........

G'day Andy, you're welcome to come and join us for a weekend. We'll show you around and give you a good insight and a great time.

Well, you did say you have transport and you're willing to travel.

Andy,

You're very welcome to come along to any one of my races and help out in any way you see fit! Won't be until next year now, but I still have plans to race the Mini and the Maestro at various times.

I'll be able to take you through all the various ups and downs of club racing, and show you what the average racer needs to go through, in order to do a clubbie race. You can be a mechanic if you want (although not much to change during a race day), or a pit wall signaller (if I ever get the chance to look!), or you can just sit around and watch - up to you

I may be doing another race before this year is out - although not with machinery I'm used to. I'll keep you posted if this works out..
