That's quite a strong entry isn't it? I'll keep an eye on this - the Monte is one of my favourite events

The Monte shows its gambling face !
Between SS6 and SS7 it started to snow so a couple of top drivers choose wrong tires and now fight gainst loosing too much in ss7 Juho Hanninen just turned his comfortable almost 1min lead into almost 1 min down now |

Blimey, that's turned around quickly hasn't it? I had a quick look at the photos from day 1 and there was none of the usual snow and ice. Looks like it's back now though!

What a drama we've seen today! Two stages and everything is upside down. Looks like some team managers' heads will fall - especially at Skoda.

It was really interesting as long as the coverage up the Col de Gaudissart lasted. I bet there will be one or another surprise to come up now where the coverage ended. Anyway, there will be a short and uncovered ss9 until the "The night of the long blades" kicks off from 1745 UTC / 1845 CET tomorrow evening live on esp int`l |

Is it recoverable do you think? Can they make up the lost time or will that stage be decisive? It wasn't just the Skodas in trouble was it - the results from those stages really are all over the place. Haninen in particular lost out really badly though.

In reality it was all about tire choice prior to SS7. Two had a splendid choice the rest of the field was caught pants down

Today's coverage on Eurosport was incredible stuff. Hats off to the IRC and Eurosport for providing it all as live coverage-onboards all the way through. Loved it! How about the old boy winning a stage. Good man!

I have been following several stages live and I must say the coverage was really good. I hope I can see tonight's stages, really looking forward for it.
It's a shame Petter Solberg's second place was lost after wrong tyre choice yesterday. PS: It's biggest shame we will not have IRC here in Argentina |

Off work sick yesterday, the only good thing was the chance to watch this while laid out on the sofa feeling sorry for myself! Really enjoyable stuff, Bouffier looks outstanding and good to see the old character in there as well.
My interest in rallying has reduced over the last 10 years, but I find the IRC increasingley watchable. Great coverage from Eurosport and the IRC events have that feeling and buzz that I remember in the old days of the RAC etc, which seems sadly missing from the WRC nowadays. Have dragged myself into work today, which I am now regretting as I still feel unwell. Hopefully, I'll be home early enough to catch some more of the coverage, my money is on Bouffier to win although Loix would appear to be coming on strong with Wilks and Sarazan chasing hard. |
