pieterbakker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Anyone in for the Nordschleife (Nürburgring)?

This is an open invitation to all road sports & touring cars w/o any make or model preference til 1971.

Already for the 10th consecutive year, FISC EuroTour will be organizing their Eifel Mountains Classic event on Friday and Saturday 4-5 July.

Two hours of free practice on the Friday, one hour qualifying and one 100km race on the Saturday + loads of opportunities to add extra circuit time.

Another important ingredient of FISC EuroTour’s success is the provision of professional catering & hospitality to the teams. It is this combination of 'joie de vivre' and fair competition what makes FISC EuroTour so different from other series.

For more information, have a look at;
http://www.fisc-eurotour.org/Nordsch...P-Circuit.html

Best regards,
FISC EuroTour
Motorsport, like it used to be!

Hmm, looks interesting. A bit more notice and I would have been very tempted.

Maybe next year

Hi Nigel,

For the Nordschleife they can call me anytime, not needing any notice.

One try and you'll be back next year!

Cheerio,

What a fantastic weekend on a legendary circuit! I'd recommend FISC to anyone – well run and very friendly bunch (and they’ve a beer pump in their hospitality tent) Gutted I can’t make their next meeting at Zandvoort (see Pieter’s other thread).

I'll second that. This was my second trip with the FISC, and again it was a total joy.
I can't understand why there weren't more drivers present. How many opportunities do you get to drive the Ring without being harrassed by Porsches and Bimmers on slicks?

Sick car, but may well be there again next year. I've only done Ring once so it's unfinished business.

Missed it ...

Hi,

saw you all there at Friday during practice. I was doing some testing with a modern BMW M3 at the same time. Did not know that there was a historic race too. I will consider to enter the meeting next year with my MGB (FIA spec).

Regards,
Stephan

Hi Leo - didn't know you were on here - will drop you a PM with my email. I actually rather enjoyed a little bit of harassing by the Porsches and BMWs in testing (and occassionally harassing them back ). I'd rather like to try the VLN race - Stephan, could you PM me some details?

Pieter - could I get some hi-res versions of those excellent photos?

If you are a historic racing driver - rather than just happen to race a historic car - you've got to race at the 'Ring.

First lap of the race (well, most of it, minus the first corner, to fit down to 10 minutes) at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R-Oa_LIvPuc

Nice vid Graeme, good to see you give the 'Vette some grief. Hans' yellow Midget is quick in a straight line though isn't it? made me jump as he bounced you into the top chicane!

What happened to Pieter B, thought he was on the front row but couldn't see him? Did you pass him into the arena?

PS Nice write up on your antics in MoSport News today!

Hi Max,

Pieter B. did not make it into the race, thanks to an 'excursion' in qualifying.

Graeme, I've added the YouTube, together with the pic's and race results to our race report at http://www.fisc-eurotour.org/Nordschleife-08.html

Cheers,
