Pro Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
well IIRC it didn't get off to the best of starts with Brighty going his own way with set-up's etc in the old BF.

GTR's 2009 vision for SBR sort of came true, and sort of didn't, really.

Davison hasn't fired as predicted, and Bright hasn't fired that well either, which wasn't predicted.

All in all, if Bright does leave, then SBR haven't had a very good year at all

Was there love between them to start ??

His mate Dr Slater was with him at the test,
So you would have to think they will be able to detune the WSR 888 chassis together.

WSR and Brights combined aspirations to be bigger than they have backing to actually be, and their lack of ability to pay their bills should see a great combination for about three races.

So really, once all the RECs are sorted, the Ford side of the fence is starting to look a little like this, isn't it?

Ford Supported – All running FPR/SBR hybrid engines (FPR and SBR running separate chassis)
FPR – Winterbottom
FPR – S Richards
FPR – TBA (Holdsworth?)
FPR – TBA (Thompson?)
SBR – van Gisbergen
SBR – A Davison?

“The Forgotten” – All running ex-888 chassis and DJR engines
DJR – Johnson
DJR – Courtney
PCR – Coulthard
PCR – Bright

Just quietly, I think "The Forgotten" look stonger.

Gotta disagree with you there SJA. Take away the ability of the pilots, I think you underestimate how hard it would be for the 'forgotten' to keep old chassis competitive.

DJR have donwe it pretty well in the past, last year Will Davo managed top 5 in the championship winning a round and finishing equal first in another in a (IIRC) a 5 year old chassis. these chassis won't even make it to that, the most they will make it to is 3 with COF in 2012.

Good point - maybe I just don't rate the drivers then.

Another thing the "Forgotten" all have in common is that when it comes time to pay their bills, they have also forgotten...

I don't know the accuracy of this comment, but it still is one of the funniest play on words I've read in quite some time!!

So who's gonna build the engines for PCR/Bright? Presumably Kenny Mac will have his hands full producing Holden donks for Supercheap and 888 next year?

While SBR are not looking great at the moment, PCR seem to be heading towards a dead end after 2010???

JB has moved around way too much in the past, so unless SBR want too much $$$, I reckon he would be best sticking with SBR and hoping they can turn it around...

So do you have a quote or a link of some description to prove this, seeing that Paul Cruickshank said just after the tr888or split that he was looking at buying one of tr888ors current cars for the 2010 season

To prove that Mr Matthias owns or does not own through him personally or one of his legal entities? I dont think its widely known or written about. But that doesnt make it untrue.
