Brun back in competition !!!

Hey ..... Walter Brun is taking a sabatical from retirement I think !!!

Brilliant news ..... they were my favourite Porsche team back in the auld Group C days .

While he wasnt always the quickest , his team normally put on a decent show and beat Joest and the works team in the teams championship in 1986 ..... great stuff .

Anyway ..... heres the link . Any french speakers please ?

Says he's taking part next weekend in the ADAC GT Masters at Lausitzring, driving a Corvette from Callaway with Patrick Gerling.

Must be thirsty for some racing.

Even if it's just a one-off, it's good to see him back- I always liked that Repsol colourscheme as well, but the Brun Porsches often had very eye-catching liveries, often changing from race-to-race between the various regular sponsors and some one-off deals. A few of my favourites...

Ah, Jagermeister, another one of those nice liveries of the past. They were all over the place, even on some single seaters (probably not F1 though) but definitely all over German Touring Cars and sportscars.

I think Repsol-sponsored 993s and 996s ran in Spanish GT, didn't they? Repsol has funded a lot of motorsport through Alfonso d'Orleans.

Yeah! I remember a Porsche 935 die cast model in Jägermeister colours I used to play with as a little kid. On F1 I am not sure but up to F2 they been sponsor in virtually almost all series. Even a certain 7-time F1 world champ was Jägermeister sponsored in his F3 days at one point. Sorry wrong way round. The biggest opponent was Jägermeister sponsored but both sat in a Ralt-VW F3

Oh yes, Walter also ran BMWs in touring cars in the early 80's and had a very nice Jaegermeister-backed 635...
