Lexus LFA GTE
Hi all

Was wondering if anyone had any more info on the Lexus GTE car/programme in light of Toyota's announced LMP attack? The shots of the car that were leaked back in July looked to show a finished car, but there's been no snippets of testing, press, etc. since then. It's a fantastic looking (and probably sounding!) car, and I hope that TMC bring it to the party rather than consigning it to the museum as a 'nearly was'.

Project said to be on hold.

A new GTE was in line to debut at Zhuhai, if you rule out the LFA, Viper and Ginetta I'm struggling to think who it could be.

Are GTE's also allowed to run a hybrid system next year without taking extra weight or another type of penalty? Because I would think Toyota/Lexus would want to enter a car with a hybrid system if they are going to enter...

I'm hoping 2012 is their year for this. Why not take a swing at top honors and GT honors @LeMans? I'm betting the same thing is on their minds.
