DeathOrGlory should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Corvette DP configurations:

Gainsco: Riley chassis, Corvette body (Riley allows the Corvette body in their chassis)

Action Express/Spirit of Daytona (and the future 8Star Racing team): Full Corvette DP (Coyote chassis, Corvette body)

Wayne Taylor Racing: Dallara chassis, Corvette body

I'm intrigued on what would be Dr. Jim Lowe's Doran-Dallara's body... And there were rumors of Ganassi developing BMW-based body panels for their Rileys.

Somewhere it was mentioned this may have been delayed by the merger, I think it may have been on one of the SPEED chats with John Dagys?

The article on GA's website doesn't mention sponsors, but I'm guessing the Ferrari dealers of Canada had something to do with putting this effort together (judging by the livery of the car).

It seems Remo Ferri, who is involved with Ferrari dealerships in Canada and backed a second de facto Risi GT2 a few years ago under the Ferri Competitzione banner, is backing this effort. Good to see a pro Ferrari (maybe more if Scuderia Corsa also appear?), and one must wonder if this is done with an eye to 2014...

The team was working with Michelotto on the new #69 car at Daytona. Possibly just because AIM is the best GA-GT Ferrari team, possibly because AIM looks like the best bet for 2014?

Damn thats a strong pairing right there. Ill be interested to hear who Assentato pairs up with, great to see another Ferrari on the grid next year too. Maybe a factory pilot for Daytona in the pro car?

I think that is the other way around. Ford guys are used to seeing proper Chevy engines in their cars.

I am a big Mazda fan, and I think that car is going to be pretty good on the road. How it fits into a class vs. Evora's, and Caymans...not sure.

Basically Mazda wanted to be in GA and they wanted to race their diesel. They are trying to race the same engine in LMP2 as well, so I'm not really sure why racing the sedan 6 in GA was necessary. Do they think that provides better exposure than LMP2?

While I've never had any issues with M3's racing in sportscars, I'd say a Mazda 6 is pushing it (out of a window)...

Then again a Prius races in Super GT against GT3's...

I'm not debating its' merits as a race car. It just is in the wrong series IMO.
