Supported Newcastle, watch Tonbridge Angels sometimes.Used to be a over 70 corner at one end which used to be hilarious.Hurling abuse and taking the p*** out of the oppo players and officials.

When on offer, the individual size pies sell for a £1 in s/markets, but only £1.65 even when not.... So £4.50 at a match sounds good value!

With Waitrose as a sponsor I'd expect the pies at the Mad-jet ski stadium to be very good. Venison and port, short crust, red squirrel satay, lobster mayo sarnies and the like.

Ah 2018, the year that kept on kicking back. I heard today that my late father's cousin died on Christmas Day - it's OK, we weren't close, I'd only met him a handful of times in my life.

However, Brian Tyler may have been known to some of the inhabitants of this board - he was a historic racing car dealer in South Africa. He wrote a book on the history of the LDS Formula cars. Quite a bloke all in all.

Yes my parents were close to him. I recall some very boozy sessions when we met.

Gets my vote for the least intelligent act of the year (OK, it happened on 27/12/18) so far....

Man attempts to steal policeman's bicycle from outside a police station, in full view of a CCTC camera...

Soccer is a foreign land to me, it should be banned, but
if I can give advice on motorsport photography, drop me a pm. I am not talking about photographic skills.

Happy retirement, it can take quite a few years before the mind fully accepts the concept.

Well it did me.

Outrageous really.
Mrs 97 has recently completed a fatal accident investigation into a similar incident in the UK. She is a Human Factors specialist who does fatal accident investigations for a living. I wont say too much as the Coroners Inquiry has not taken place yet, but lets just say that in engineering we usually have 2 x safety interlocks / tag outs to try to prevent accidents when working on safety criticsl systems. The Zoo industry doesnt.
Human beings make often make illogical decisions and take short cuts; we often ignore our training and procedures and are then surprised when something goes wrong. Its a nassive shame that the Lion died because of human failings.
Sadly this is the third similar incident that i am aware of in last 12 months worldwide, and probably wont be the last.

As for football, i am delighted to be a Wolves fan at the moment after mostly disappointment for the majority of the last 45-50!years!

Zoo's are living on borrowed time surely.

I'd rather take a tour to watch these big animals mauling fat yanks out hunting. Far more entertaining and better for the environment.
