The Italy Round up

First the Relevant Facts and figures that determine the points…

23 cars qualified within the 107% time.
The stewards allowed Hulkenberg to race, as per the rules, this sees a 50 point penalty applied to Hulkenberg.

Following his involvement in the Turn 1 Accident in Belgium, Grosjean has been suspended for the Italy round. Points scored by his replacement d’Ambrosio will be credited to teams that contain Grosjean.

There were 3 Grid drop penalties to be applied, 2 of them to Maldonado, 5 places for a jump Start and 5 places for causing a collision; both incidents were at the previous round in Belgium. The other Grip drop was for DiResta with 5 places for an out of sequence Gearbox change. Maldonado dropped from Q2 group to Q1 resulting in the loss of a Bonus Point. DI Resta remained within the Q3 group and keeps his 2 bonus points.

Qualifying bonuses for Constructors having both cars in Q3 go to Mercedes, McLaren and Ferrari. The Engine supplier bonuses go to Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault for each powering 2 different constructors into Q3.

There were 2 leaders of the race, Hamilton and Perez. Both receive 1 bonus point. Hamilton receives the bonus for leading the most laps, as do McLaren for Constructor and Mercedes for Engine supplier.

Fastest lap went to Rosberg taking the bonus points for himself, and Mercedes for both constructor and engine supplier.

The top 2 engines from each supplier, powering different constructors are colour coded for easy reference.

Of the two who were classified non finishers; Button had a technical failure resulting McLaren receiving a 5 point Penalty.

Onto the results…

After coming close a couple of times Scurderia Elettrica wins the round with 87 points. 4 Teams scored 73 points sharing second place, they are Polar Bear Racing, TMSV Grand Prix, Duke Grand Prix Engineering and Born Racer’s Born Racers. Just to prove how tight it was at the top the next place team Craggles Racing had 72 points.

In the Overall, The top three closed up a bit with their midfield finishes at this round but Moral Victors still leads with 653 points. Team AWB and Redneck Racing follow with 649 and 625 points respectively. Duke Grand Prix Engineering and TMSV Grand Prix’s good results bring them into 4th place with 590 points and 5th with 580 points respectively.

outrageous! i demand the rules be changed retroactively and in my favour!

jokes aside, just noticed that only one other team also has the Hulk on it...hopefully the kid steps it up for the remainder of the year and can help us move up the ladder against those that dont have him on their team.
