Heimgartner is now expected to continue, with 2016 Dunlop Super2 Series champion Garry Jacobson tipped to graduate to Supercars and complete the quartet.
Announcements on the team's full driver line-up are expected before Phillip Island's pre-season test on February 14.

Given their drop off in pace and lack of results, I gotta wonder why you'd take a budget over to do one year at Nissan.

I guess. I'd be more inclined to look at Super 2 or Porsches until Kelly Racing decide what they're gunna do in 2020. Development would be non existent on the Altima, and they werent fast last year. And there's no evidence they can get more than two cars to go quick at any one time. Hopefully whoever goes there has some understanding sponsors.

You can do great things with sponsors without winning races. The Kelly group has a lot of experience in innovative b2b networking and hospitality that was pioneered by the Walkinshaw HRT. As much as us race fans don't love corporate guests it is where the bucks come from. Sponsors clients don't care that much if their car wins, as long as the food is good and the grog is plentiful. I have met people and done deals on ride days. The business doesn't begin and end with stickers on the car for a smart team.

This !!!

Will be an interesting year and see what developments are made or gained and what the future holds moreso for 2020. Will they have a brand change or use a 2 door Nissan ?

Classy given the circumstances, but I'm presuming he was not given any assurances last year.

Be interesting to see who picks him up, not one of the sport's greats, but could easily win some enduros.

Where could Alonso race next?
His success in sports cars and long format races point to the GT World Cup at Macau of Nurburgring 24 Hours as possibilities. Both would give him the chance to make his race debut at two of the great circuits in motor racing. Another of the great tracks awaits him in Bathurst, home to the famed 1000 kilometre Australian Supercars race.

What they perhaps should look into instead is a sticker of a grille in place of the actual grille, like they do in TCR and the BTCC. At a glance, it looks like the real thing, but up close, it's a flatter surface that you could still potentially advertise on.

Purists might sulk, but some teams would be happy not to have to raid Holden's limited stock of ZB grilles and badges. I mean leats face it, the grille isn't functional anyway. They're blanked off from behind. Have been since the early 90's.
