This is going to be a great event!

I have been told that it is going to be a cold and windy weekend though. My bones are still getting over Sandown but love Phillip Island and will be there with bells on.

Friday:
Rain Showers. Morning Clouds. Cool. Windy. 10C - 13C

Saturday:
Morning Clouds. Cool. Breezy. 11C - 13C

Sunday:
Sunny. Cool. 10C - 14C

Provided the weather holds up, it should be a great weekend with excellent fields and fast racing!

Would love to be there to see if Ricciardello can knock off Youlden in the Mustang and lower his own lap record of 1:31.something

Also, good luck to the QLD'ers running in the Vees, HQ's and Production Cars

Some pics and PR up now at www.wilsonbrothersracing.com

Deadset, this is the coldest, wettest, windiest hell hole on the face of the planet. Top race track though

...however, it is well worth the price of admission to see Hossack's Audi, that is my new fave

Pop by our pit bay with the Subarus, we are right up at the entry to pit lane.

Winton was chilly to start with today but warmed as the sun rise a bit higher.

No sign of rain up here either although tomorrow is another day and things have been known to change.

Winton got the weather but few entries.
Phillip Island copped dodgey weather (most dry today though) and good fields and great racing......

Without getting into an us & them debate, some have noted that this National series has had it's numbers bolstered (to the tune of almost 90 cars) by two STATE categories. (well wasn't that part of the CAM$ plan not that many years ago ?)

Sadly, the scheduling of the event will have a detrimental effect on next week's State Round, that has both HQ & F Vee on the program.

I somehow doubt all of the Victorian entries this week will front up again in six days time, such is the current economic climate.

A shame for the grass roots, motorsport, irrespective of where it is held.

Too right UC.

Two state categories that were so out of favour that CAMS discussed killing them off a few years ago.

I went to PI for a couple of hours today.

Nice to see the 50+ HQ grid, always entertaining.

Sports Sedans; nearly half the field had an 'off course' excursion before the end of the first lap. (Race 2, I think)

F3's are crazy-quick.

I went down for a look today, Sports Sedans were awesome, Ricciardello vs Hossack was fantastic. Boy are those things quick. F3, as usual a fantastic display, the top 4-5 were great to watch. Good to see the Production cars back, not a great field but the racing wasnt bad...but somebody shut those celica's up!!!!!

The Formula Vees were sensational today. The Porter / Reinhardt battle over the two races was supurb as was the racing in the two groups behind them going 4 wide into turn 1. Last race had 5 cars under the lap record, "Sensational".
