SBR always have some clever strategies in their lot...

The off on lap 1 was not good, losing the lap from Mr McConville's hit (instigated by a crunch from Mr Coulthard apparently...) and struggling to get reverse gear and escape, wasnt great...

A pity SBR didnt put slicks on at the tape-up stop, they could have gone even harder!

The second off into the Chase wasnt great...

The lead driver drove a bloody good race, hampered to some extent by a codriver still learning his craft....

An overheating engine wasnt good for hot laps (haha) but the pair were on for a top 10, certainly the on course teev people thought it was possible... they missed it by a few seconds

Good drives, good strategy, some bad luck... an ok result!

The ontrack teev followed a little of it, the 'offs' anyway, the engine piece isnt anywhere in the media I didnt think.

On the grid... looking shiny...

It's obvious to the Ford fans with their XB coupes, their falcon sprints, their escorts etc in their garages that 888 are not true blue. DJR with their great ford specials like the DJR BA 320 and the Turbo XE are true blue without question, same goes for SBR etc.

Ford gave 888 access to the Ford brand - a much more powerful brand than some touring car team it goes without saying - on which to build a fan base and sell lots of merchandise, and plainly 888 don't seem to recognize this and at least run the badges on the car and take pride in the blue oval, even if they want to change deals.

Great job by Britek. An eventful day for them!

I still dont know how they managed 11th , we spent the day giggling at them (probably not kind but hey you gottta have one team to laugh at and the Jesus Team seemed to go out early) but the laughs turned to applause when we realised they managed to come home 11th after all they went through.

good effort guys , a shame most coverage was of problems but in the end its the result that counts !!!

The car was 1/10th outside the top 10 shootout...

Had a good start, was punted off by Mr McConville, who was hit by Mr Coulthard

While i agree with you GTR that he did a great job, how do you not consider the Offs beside the first one driver error?

Im hoping the the SBR/Britek Deal picks up as once again just as something is showing potential for Mr bright he seems to be packing his bags.

Front suspension was damaged in the hit, the car had excess toe and had bad understeer for much of the race...

Interesting that MeN only mentioned the #25 car in passing, while AA ignored it... even in the 'car by car' undertsanding, they chose to slap instead of recognise the effort....

Wonder why Mr Bright isnt popular with them?

It is nice to at least see kind words coming from you now GTRMagic!

It was a shame that even channel 7 wasn't really interested in the events of their day. Jason's team put together a pretty exciting strategy in the end, that could of had some very surprising results had there been a few more laps to play with (plus a happier engine), but as they say, theres always next year.

Always have kind words when there are good things to talk about....

The pics of the car on the grid are stunning... it looks better there than on any of the teev broadcasts. Owning a particular colour makes sense from a branding perspective, if the teev actually gave a stuff...

The strategy would be coming from Mr Bright in the car & Mr Stuart in the garage, a combination that seemed to work quite well at this event...
