Usually it’s the works teams with more budget that make the trek overseas. 888 used to do it with the Vauxhalls

Not a reason for teams not to be testing overseas this year but wasn't there some heavy car damage either last year or the year before?

Matt Simpson sustained heavy damage in 2017, and had to switch cars for the season.

And RML were the great underdogs of the day with Leslie too. Managing to beat the Vauxhall main team several times led to them running the works team themselves
