Probably. The RC F GT3 had 1300kg of minimum weight before BoP adjustment. I think it's quite heavy for a FIA GT3 car.

The camouflaged RC F GT 3 at Motegi must have changed only the appearance according to the model change of the base vehicle.

Honda's chances to be champs just went up in smoke to BOP. Button will have a 80kg weight penalty at the next race!

Well the NSX is in both classes so might necessarily be not just one class the car appears in

True, but the NSX GT3 is in GT300, not a MC car or JAF GT300. Plus this has "concept" in the name, which won't be a GT3. I think it'll be either or, not both. We'll see soon!

Autosport web is reporting UPGARAGE MC86. They have introduced new electronic system (including main harness) this year. And Dome has supplied new front suspension arm kit. From this year the race format changed and practice session on the race day was reduced. They have changed the suspension style this year. So they did not have to change the setup with qualifying session and final race. |

Race day press conference by GTA (Masaaki Bandoh)
http://www.fmotor.jp/2018-sgt-rd6-gta About working conditions improvement in SGT -We carried out a questionnaire about working conditions to the SGT team. -I believe we have to manage the working hours of race week. About joint events with DTM -There is a misunderstanding about Class One regulation. -The SGT in 2019 is Class One "plus alpha", and the three company structure of Toyota, Nissan, Honda remains unchanged. -And as for 2020, we plan to shift to class one regulations, but we do not think that we should move to now. -We will never switch to Class One until we break the three company structure (Toyota, Nissan, Honda). -As much as possible, we will reduce costs according to Class One regulations, but in case it is impossible, we have no choice but to do with "plus alpha". About GT500 BoP We decided to put 10 kg on Honda this time in order to balance the performance according to Honda and team's effort. |

Race day press conference by GTA <part2>
https://supergt.net/news/single/18505 About GT300 grouping qualifying session -I think that it was good to carry out the grouping qualifying session this time. -The reason is that safety and sufficient qualifying attack lap can not be done. -I would like to consider implementing it on a short distance circuit. |

So ... how many years has it been since Jenson Button last won a race? I think I need someone to remind me!
It's a shame to see the #12 lose out again (although it looks like it wasn't totally blameless this time), but take nothing away from the #100's victory. It also puts them in a good position (12 points ahead IIRC) going to the last couple of races of the season. |

I have to say that the No. 100 car almost crashed into a safety car. That'll be a safety hazard there, but Jenson Button managed to get past it and win at Sugo.
Also, glad that the Subaru BRZ managed to win in Round 6. Good for them, but it's not enough to become contenders for the GT300 crown. |

Autosport web's GT500 SUGO round report
http://www.as-web.jp/supergt/410761?all -Bandoh (#19) seems to be forced to replace the engine the next round because of an engine fire due to oil leak after contact with au Tom's (#36). -Honda has special engine mapping (boost up) for qualifying session. Of course Lexus also has it too, however, it seems that Honda's is better. |

Are the rumours true that APR are building a GT300 Supra for next season?

Great win by Subaru and Honda. I missed a lot of the race but caught the finish. I wonder if there's any difference in the class 1 rules than there is right now in GT500?

At this moment, Class One regulations are not clear.
But, 1) Engine: Pre-chamber technology will be prohibited. It is closer to spec engine than GT500 2) Chassis: Suspension arms will be spec parts. The proportion of spec parts will be increased. 3) Aerodynamics: 2018 DTM style aero will be standardized. |
