PWC: 2020

Wonder if we will see a good grid again in GT3 for COTA, before it slowly slims down again.

Such a shame, but hopefully the pro-am format breaks that

More motivation when you are going for outright

I never heard a single pay driver say they weren't racing in the series because they couldn't compete with the Pro's to win overall.

Not a single one.

However, I do hope the grid is healthier than 2019 because I do like the series.

Should be repeated often to the fans. The gentlemen drivers to a driver seem to enjoy the challenge of the race and haven't heard anyone cry about not being as fast as Pat Long in a 911. But maybe that's just me actually listening in interviews

SprintX for Compass.

For GT3 15-20 is not out of the question for full season, but being conservative I'd say 15-16.

SprintX grids should really good with 25-30 realistic for for season.

Sprint grids about the same as GT3 with 15-20 for full season.

Has Bimmerworld moved to SRO completely? Or running Michelin Pilot, SRO, with Clay running ADAC 24 and 6 HR, Pike's Peak? Lots of racing for a guy who used to store parts in an apartment in Blacksburg and his dad's law firm spare office.

Whoops, guess that was more than they could afford. But I wonder if they will sell off, or have sold off, the cars they built last season?

Saleen single make cancelled to fund the GT4 car.

14 cars

Still, it’s actually a nice entry if a little light. Decent variety and interested to see how things look without full pro entries

Now, let’s add the GT2 series, or GT4 SprintX in there to add some traffic

By now, I really have my doubts about GT2 properly taking off - and according to - I think it was Mike Hedlund - neither the GT3 nor the GT4 guys (who have a full grid) are very interested in sharing the track with each other.

It's a difficult situation, but I don't think the GT3 series can go on for another season (after this one) with a field of less than 18 or so cars.

The "silver" Racers Edge car might as well be a full pro car and a couple of the bronzes paired w/ pros are probably closer to silver, so i think you'll see 2-3 cars run away with it.

British GT can get a healthy GT3 grid....and GT4 runs with them. WC America...smaller GT3 grid can't seem to play with the GT4 guys at all.

I think this series would totally benefit from mixed grids... from a spectator perspective at least

I think the problem is the GT4 fields are large and don't want their racing screwed up by the much faster but smaller field. They can have their own race and provide a good show. GT3 needs them more than GT4 needs the boost

Keep in mind for the COTA event this weekend, the time changes to Daylight this weekend. One hour forward Sunday morning, adjust your viewing as required outside of the US.

I think we'll see a few more GT3 cars at VIR, hopefully the total number will go up. But I agree and would love to see GT3 and GT4 recombined. Makes for some fantastic racing.
