8. Bit stale in the middle but really came alive near the end

I rated Bahrain a 9. This did not have 'racing' as exciting as that but it did have plenty of drama. Not the best race of the year so far but close. I gave it 8.

This race had 10 potential. But 10% of it was run behind the safety car. So 9.

Drama throughout the race with a crescendo in the end. Montreal always delivers. 9

Same here. Bahrain was better pure racing with plenty of drama and less controversy. Montreal had more contenders for the win, but overall it wasn't quite as good.

Brilliant race, gave it a 9.
Drama, tense, unpredictable, great driving from Rosberg and Ricciardo. Daniel R saw there was a chance of a win and took it with a bold on the limit move into turn 1. Nice to see Seb, who also drove well, be so pleased for Daniel R's win. |

Perfect ten. Spectacle, drama, and a new brand winner. Satisfied with the event.

Good tension, held all the way
Gave it a 9, probably should have been a solid 8, but I am Australian |

8 for me, would of been more if Massa would have finished.

9 - A great race.
No doubt someone will be on here soon claiming to have fallen asleep though. |

I gave it an 8. As much as I enjoyed the race, the fact it was only close due to mechanical problems took away from it a little. Granted if the two Mercedes cars didn't have issues the race likely would have only gotten a 6 from me.

Well Formula 1 yet again delivers a great race in the 2014 season.
This had a bit of everything - teammate rivalries, problems, high attrition, a first-time winner, great overtaking, different pit strategies, and crashes. It doesn't matter what sort of racing fan you are, you will have loved that race. 10. |

Well worth a nine, which I gave it. Perhaps an eight from purists but a good race nonetheless. May there be more of them.

9 for me - it was gripping with plenty going on over the last third or so of the race.
Pity about the lousy TV work - cut away to stuff that didn't matter a number of times to miss passes. |

9. That's why I watch motor racing. Fantastic.
The quality of the racing this season has been above par, especially for a season when one team is in a different class to the rest of the field. |

Yeah, there was a couple of passes going on and the camera zoomed into the fans...bizarre.

9. A great weekend's sport. Interesting dice in Quali. Something interesting going on from lights to flag on Sunday.

After the initial drama of the Marussias going off on the first lap the race went rather quiet. It then began to come alive as Hamilton closed up on Rosberg and Rosberg had his 'off' but after the second round of stops things really took off, as Massa briefly got the lead and then both Mercedes suffered technical problems, resulting in Hamilton cutting the chicane in dramatic fashion and retiring. It was then a matter of how long could Rosberg hang on to the lead, in his below-par Mercedes, as Perez, Ricciardo, Vettel and Massa battled it out, with Ricciardo eventually comeing out on top and overtaking Rosberg to win his first GP; then there was the accident with Perez and Massa.
It was also an attritional race, with only 10 cars finishing on the lead lap and eight retiring. With all that going on definitely a 9. |
