Ralf,

That will be the Jan Wellem Pokal meeting organised by DAMC. I've competed in the Kampf de Zwerge events for a number of years in my Clan.

This is correct, Pete.
But it will be called Eifelrennen - they have aqcuired the rights for name, logo etc. from ADAC, so the reborn event (three years ago) can live on under that name.
I have been there 2008 and 2009 with a pre war racer.
Missed out 2010, but then it was raining...

The 300 sounds a LOT more tempting than 6hrs an hour up the road!
All being well,I'll see you there Ralf.

I've probably missed something in another thread, but what made you fall out of love with the Six Hours Terry?

Just hate the way it's apparently going Alan,as I said earlier, more like the Belgian version of Goodwood. The annoying thing is that Alain and Vincent just do not need to accept the amount of bent car's they have on thier grid, the whole thing has become a p*** take because of what is allowed to race. It's called 'Voting with my Feet'.
I will obviously race at Spa,but not in the 6Hr

Yes, will look out for you then.
We (girlfriend Dani / Austin Seven racer and myself) will be down in the old paddock.
I was hoping for a FJ possibility, too, but never mind.

As usual Terence, they (Roadbook) only see the dollar signs (well euros anyhow); the sporting part has long left the place.

Not that much improvement I'm afraid, but I'm keeping up the spirits.

And not only the drinking ones I mean.

Very good ! Which car will you drive ?
We will be in the old paddock - hopefully the reservation for a pit has worked...
We will have quite a lot of driving with our cars - GP circuit Friday ebvening, picknick tour (for the road registered ones) Saturday morning, Nordschleife early afternoon, then Südschleife, Night Tour after dinner (if there are lights on the car..), Nordschleife again Sunday morning and finally the Elefantenrennen Revival on the GP circuit on Sunday - Bentley against SSK against some of the rest including (show) LM start.
Hopefully will be a good weekend !

We'll be there, doing the Langstreckencup with FHR. Arriving on Friday lunchtime.

I think Brits include:

Tice/Conoley Marcos
Lambert/Prior MGB
Pete - Clan

See you chaps there hopefully. Last minute entry so we could be a long way from the main pits....

We had our one hour (shortened then to 45 Minutes...) on the Nordschleife delayed until after the 3 hour race on Saturday - I saw quite a lot of broken down cars from that race being towed away afterwards.
And oil slicks everywhere...
Seems to have been quite an eventful race !

Mind you - I had my moment of brain fade after our run returning slowly through the old pit lane - totally oversaw two metal poles. Bentley 2 - poles 0. Unfortunately I had some slight bend in the front crossmember which also mislocated the left front brake linkage. Could have been repaired for the 90 Minutes Nordschleife on Sunday but I decided to repiar it properly at home (almost done) and open a bottle of wine instead.

Still - we had lots of track time everywhere and a very busy weekend.
Our other car driven by Daniela run perfectly - an Austin 7 doing 4 laps in a bit over an hour is a fine achievement without lots of knowledge of the `Ring. And our team did win 3rd price in the night relay event through the forests (on gravel - tracks lit by candles !) up to Nürburg and back to the old paddock.

Unfortunately the "Elefantenrennen" had to be run in the heavy rain Sunday - but especially the two Mercedes SSK and Old Mother Gun made a good show out of it.

Not quite. Eventful weekend. Hit on frontwheel by NSU in practice resulted in bent front wishbone. Straightened to perfection by large German mechanic at the cost of 2 beers.

First run/race 1120 threw out all of it's water. Replaced with spare 1040 on Saturday night finishing at 2.00am Sunday.

Union detached from oil pump on second lap of second run deposited oil from tank on circuit - not very popular. Fixed back in paddock in 5 minutes.

Torrential storm with thunder and lightning when packing up - soaked to the skin.

Ferry held outside Dover for 3 hours on Monday afternoon to finish off the perfect weekend! - Roll on the next one.
