[VASC19R13R14]TruckAssist Winton SuperSprint, 24-26 May

It's almost time
To go to Winton race track
Will other teams keep getting a smack?
From the Penske crew
Who know how to win
While most of the others
They know how to spin
On track on in story
We just can't be sure
If nothing changes to the Mustang
It will just keep winning more and more...

Or will it?

Hard to know... but easy to surmise...
Which team is likely
To win the prize...
It's big and it's red
And white with some yellow
And is on pole most of the time
With that McLaughlin fellow

Can the house of eights
Find the missing speed it lacks
Or will the Penskemob
Continue their smacks...

Not long til we find out...

Forda should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
There's an election on, and politics are running rife
But not just with Morrison and the spouse of Miss Bryce

It's in the paddock of Supercar land
Where linear spring issues are getting out of hand

Can the only solution be to again clip the Mustang's wings
Or will the Commodore teams finally get on top of things

One question though, people might phrase
Is aero even applicable in Winton's case?

The track has no long straight this time
In fact it's like running a marathon around your clothesline

Rose are red,
Violets are blue,
Clip those Mustang wings again,
And Ford supporters will no longer see blue....

Another Penske sweep....

Who likes the 3 leg quali format used here as similar to Barbagallo and previous events. I quite like it and much prefer it compared to 40 minutes or so of cars going round and round.....this puts them in a short window to get the job done in a 10 minute session.

Im a big fan. Adds a bit of uncertainty and drama.
Enhances race day as well, when top cars that did not get through Q1 / Q2 have to fight to get a result.
And particularly in its use on short tracks minimises the last minute traffic horrors.

Qualifing has never been 40 minutues (expect for Bathurst), it's a short 20 minutes

I'm 50/50 myself.. It sucks if your favorite driver is out in the Q1, becuase I loss interest a bit & stop watching the rest becuase dont care as much..

I know it wasnt 40 minutes I just threw that number up there. 20 minues of watching drivers circulate for the point of doing laps is boring as batship hence I like the staged 3 quali session much like F1 and MotoGP
