Russell Ingall’s “Bench Racing”
Video Here
Interesting concept..
Seems like it will become a weekly series.
A different approach and not beholden to sponsors or categories..

Very enjoyable to watch, hopefully it will become a weekly series.
Certainly runs rings around RPM.

Didn't mind it for a first effort.

I watched it and enjoyed it. Good to see these two talking without having to toe the company line.
Not sure how sustainable it will be without a sponsorship deal, although Mr Morris isn't exactly crying poor so should be able to support this for a reasonable length of time hopefully.

It shouldn't cost a whole lot to upload a video to youtube from scratch. Especially if it becomes one of the tasks around the Ranch for all the kids in the Dude School of Racing to tick off, like mowing the lawns.

I'm sure the editing, lighting, camera and sound recording gear are free.

Looks like the same production style as the Speedcafe end of year videos that Greg Rust has hosted in the past couple of years with a rotating guest. Ingall and Morris both move in the same Gold Coast circles as it's proprietor Crusher Murray, and there have been a couple of articles in the past week referring to it. So most likely Speedcafe have some sought of involvement. A Castrol poster in the background and painted car featured. Castrol are also a Speedcafe partner. https://www.speedcafe.com/partners/

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if there's a tie-up there.

Watched the first episode and quite enjoyed it. Wind tunnel bit was good for a laugh. There really is a need for a show like this in Aus so looking forward to ep2

I liked it, a lot more candid and less BS/fluff than RPM.
Surely it wouldn't cost a significant amount of money to produce, especially if they can build some YouTube revenue.

Never been a Paul Morris fan, always came over as a bit thuggish for mine, but in both this and the Speedcafe Christmas series have changed my opinion. Refreshingly Morris and Ingall are prepared to call out a bad decision, unlike the softly-softly, don't bite the hand that feeds, offerings from Fox and 10.

They have plans for special guests in future. It will be interesting to see how that goes, as anyone with a current or potential future link to Supercars will be limited in what they can say.
